Avis was born and raised in Kugane. He grew up training in the arts of both dance and swordplay. Though he had promise as a future member of the Shinsengumi, most all of his focus went into dance.He spent his early adult years doing performances at the Shiokaze Hostelry as well as special shows by the Kugane gardens. He is well known for his exceptional poise and technique, his focused gaze, and his many-varied dance styles.Wanting to learn more styles and perfect his craft, he elected to leave Kugane at 22 and begun traveling Eorzea. He found himself a temporary member of various troupes across the regions, and held a notably long membership with a traveling troupe.Though just as often he found himself traveling solo, learning from local masters. He earned his way taking odd jobs as a barkeep, as well as performing shows both on stage and in the back rooms.Any who see him perform will immediately notice his intense and focused gaze. Meeting him gives the impression of someone who knows exactly what he wants and how to get it. On the rare occasion one gets to know him well, they may glimpse his soft heart and deep passion for the world of his craft and those who share in it.
